At Vienna Tango School, we are committed to creating a tango community where everyone feels welcome, valued, and safe. Whether you’re brand new to tango or a seasoned dancer, you belong here.
We celebrate diversity across all backgrounds, identities, and expressions, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, ability, body type, and dance experience. We recognize that tango is an evolving art form rooted in connection, and we strive to foster an environment where respect and kindness guide every embrace.
💃 Dance Roles Are for Everyone
We believe that lead and follow roles are not tied to gender. We encourage dancers to explore both roles, and to communicate openly with potential partners about their preferences. Please don’t assume someone’s role—just ask, with kindness.
🛡️ Safety Comes First
Vienna Tango School prioritizes the safety and well-being of all dancers. We are committed to maintaining a space free of harassment, coercion, and harmful behavior.
Individuals with a known history of violence toward others are not welcome at our events.
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes (but is not limited to):
Inappropriate or unwanted verbal comments
Verbal abuse, threats, or intimidation
Unwanted photography or video recording
Invasive or inappropriate physical contact
Stalking or following
Sustained disruption of events
Any behavior that makes others feel unsafe or unwelcome
Harassment is not always intentional—but its impact matters. If you’re asked to stop any behavior, you are expected to do so immediately. Vienna Tango School reserves the right to remove any individual who violates this policy, without refund, at the discretion of the organizers.
🤝 Help Us Build This Community
